This week, T.J. and I discuss the B1G's struggles in the B1G/ACC Challenge and what repercussions could come down on the middle of the league. We also talk about the first two games of the B1G, going through each team starting with the 2-0 B1G teams. As always, T.J. and I make our weekly picks. Early Season Tournaments

Okay, here is my take on early season tournaments in college basketball: I love them, but there are way too many. That is the basic belief I have with early season tournaments, but I want to go a little further in depth with that basic belief. First, let's answer the questions: 1) Why do I love early season tournaments? and 2) Why do I feel there are too many? Why do I love early season tournaments? This one is easy. They're fun to watch. They are a sneak preview into the season that is about to come. It is a tiny sliver of the magic that we see in March and early April. They give us a brief look at just about any team that will be worth a damn this season in college basketball. No doubt, I love early season college basketball tournaments for all the reasons every college basketball fan has for loving the game. However, there are too many tournaments. Why do I feel that way? Episode #4: 1st Week Impressions, Predictions

First of all, I apologize for the delay of this podcast. I could not for the life of me get this episode to upload for whatever reason this past week. Finally, I was able to do it today. I don't know what I did differently to get it to upload, but whatever, it worked. Episode 3: B1G Predictions, Preseason Accolades

On Episode 3 of the BIG Heartland Basketball Podcast, T.J. and I dive into our predictions for the B1G standings and give our insight on who will make the B1G First, Second, Third and All-Freshman teams, as well as the Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year. In addition to this episode, T.J. and I thought it would be fun to include weekly games that we'll pick. At the end of the season, we'll see who picked better than the other. We discuss Minnesota's deep team as well and if they will be able to answer their high expectations this season. For Wisconsin, we talk about the unusual question marks entering the season for the Badgers.
